Wesley Terpstra

A native to the United States, Wesley studied painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design where he was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award. After working with a group of artists creating murals throughout Atlanta, Georgia, Wesley established his own mural business in Savannah, Georgia before eventually moving to Hong Kong. He has participated in several group shows in the U.S. and Hong Kong as well as solo exhibitions. His work can be found in several private collections in the U.S.

Wesley’s work is executed in a wide range of mediums.  The common thread through all of his work is his observation of paper as a metaphor for the use and reuse of materials and ideas, the mixing of thoughts, cultures and intentions which creates the depth of human experience. The used bits of paper which are so easily discarded and forgotten once again become valuable with his investment of time and love. The same is true for discarded and forgotten people. He believes that there is truly beauty and potential everywhere and seeks to have eyes for it always.
